The father of Kampala Lord Mayor Ssalongo Erias Lukwago, Hajji Muhamood Mirundi, has died. He was 92 years old when he died.
On Tuesday afternoon, Hajj Mirundi died at Masaka Referral Hospital, where he had been admitted with an illness.
Lukwago, the Deputy President of the Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), announced his father’s death in a social media post.
Mzee Mirundi will be laid to rest in Kabungo village, Kalungu District, today, Wednesday, August 24th.
Lord Mayor Lukwago is one of the late Mirundi’s more than 20 children.
