Delille recounted the harrowing moment, saying, “I was in the kitchen, doing dishes in the sink, I heard bang bang bang. I asked did anybody make noise? The kids be like, no mommy, nobody made noise. My husband banged back. The man came upstairs and kicked the door.”
According to the police, Mathurin and the neighbor engaged in a heated argument, during which Mathurin allegedly brandished a pair of scissors. It was at this point that the neighbor resorted to violence, then, shot both father and son dead in their head. “He’s a muscular guy. He looks intimidating, but that’s not who he is. He is a wonderful guy,” attested a family friend, Mickael Louis.
