Tanzanian music sensations, Diamond Platnumz and Juma Jux, along with their entourage, faced a life-threatening situation on July 17, 2023, when they got trapped in a malfunctioning elevator inside a building.
In a video, it can be observed that Diamond and his sizable group of more than ten people entered the elevator, intending to reach one of the upper floors of the building. However, as the lift started its ascent, a mechanical glitch occurred, and an incessant warning message indicated that the elevator was out of service.
Desperately trying to get the elevator back on track, Diamond Platnumz and his entourage utilized all their skills and efforts, but unfortunately, their attempts proved futile as they remained stuck for over half an hour.
Finally, after what must have felt like an eternity, the elevator doors managed to open, and the relieved group was able to escape the perilous situation. Diamond was quick to share the harrowing experience with his massive Instagram following of 16.2 million.
Taking to his Instagram account, Diamond Platnumz made a heartfelt plea to the owners of high-rise buildings. He urged them to prioritize the regular maintenance of their elevators, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the safety of citizens to avoid such accidents in the future.
In his own words, Diamond expressed his gratitude for surviving the ordeal, saying, “Today, I @juma_jux @fole_x and several of our colleagues have survived death in an elevator…. My brothers and sisters who have tall buildings that use elevators, let’s do our best to service these elevators to avoid harm to citizens”
