Masaka Kids Africana are still flying the Ugandan flag around the world after appearing in the visuals for David Guetta’s remix of “Ameno.”
Pierre David Guetta is a DJ, record producer, musician, and songwriter from France. He has over 50 million record sales worldwide and over 10 billion streams.
“Ameno” is one of the most well-known African songs in the world. It was originally performed by Goya Menor, but it was remixed by Nektunez and became an instant hit.
Ameno is a monster track, with massive airplay on various media stations, millions of online streams, and social media challenges.
It even drew one of the world’s best DJs, David Guetta, to remix it.
David Guetta announced the release of the new project with a snippet video on his Instagram account.
He thanked Masaka Kids Africana for the collaboration in the caption.
The Masaka Kids African is a music and dance group based in Masaka made up mostly of young children who have lost their parents as a result of war, famine, and disease.
The group has steadily risen through the ranks of local music over the last three years. They have also gained immediate international recognition for their one-of-a-kind art.
