In a recent TikTok live session, Abba Marcus Mayanja, the son of renowned singer Jose Chameleone, surprised his followers by disclosing that he has never heard of his singing uncle, Gerald Muwonge, popularly known as Clever J. The revelation came as a response to repeated inquiries from fans about Clever J’s connection to Abba.
During the live chat, Abba Marcus politely requested his followers to refrain from asking about Clever J, as he had never been introduced to him as a relative. It seems that Clever J’s presence in Abba’s life has been nonexistent, leaving the young artist unaware of his uncle’s musical endeavors.
As the conversation continued, one follower raised the topic of another pair of Ugandan artists, Patrick Mulwana (also known as Alien SkinAlien Skin) and his bodyguard Champion Gudo. Abba Marcus confessed that he was unfamiliar with these artists as well, confessing his lack of interest in Ugandan music altogether.
Abba Marcus candidly admitted that he doesn’t even listen to his father’s music, considering him just an ordinary person. He added that while others may find his father’s music coolfather’s music cool, he personally holds a different perspective.
It’s worth noting that despite Abba Marcus’s disconnection from Ugandan music, he himself has dabbled in singing. However, his musical aspirations were put on hold when his family relocated to the United States of America.
