Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is a 2023 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character Aquaman. Produced by DC Films and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is the sequel to 2018’s Aquaman and the sixth installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). The film is directed by James Wan and written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, with a story by Johnson-McGoldrick and Wan. Jason Momoa reprises his role as Arthur Curry / Aquaman, alongside Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Temuera Morrison, Dolph Lundgren, Nicole Kidman, and Randall Park.
The film follows Aquaman as he teams up with his half-brother Orm (Wilson) to stop Black Manta (Abdul-Mateen II), who has obtained the Black Trident, a powerful artifact that could destroy Atlantis.
