Ugandan singer and songwriter Cinderella Sanyu, also known as Cindy, is no stranger to the music industry. With over two decades of experience, Cindy has seen the ups and downs of the industry, but lately, she feels that the industry has changed for the worse.
UMA President took to social media recently to express her frustration with the current state of the industry and the people in it. She believes that the music industry is plagued by evil and untrustworthy individuals and that the best way to avoid them is to disconnect and not try to be everyone’s friend.
In a message on Monday, Cindy Sanyu wrote, “I believe you don’t have to be everybody’s friend to succeed. Gwe some people are evil (especially in the music industry) and breaking ties with them might just save your life. To protect my soul I stay away from many people and that’s how I stay sane and happy. This nonsense of being everyone’s friend is for kids mwana.”
Cindy is not the first celebrity to speak out about the challenges in the music industry. Many musicians have experienced similar difficulties and it’s no secret that the industry can be cutthroat and highly competitive. However, it’s disheartening to hear that Cindy Sanyu feels that the industry is filled with evil people and that she needs to distance herself from them in order to maintain her sanity.
In conclusion, while the music industry can be a place of great opportunities, it’s not without its challenges. Cindy’s message is a reminder to all musicians to be careful of who they surround themselves with and to always prioritize their well-being. It’s important to stay true to oneself and to never compromise one’s values and beliefs, even in the face of difficult circumstances.
