Herbert Kityamuweesi, popularly known as Crysto Panda, is making waves in the Ugandan entertainment industry with his new hit single “Empele”. The song has taken the country by storm and has become a popular choice for many media personalities, who are seen grooving to the ballad in TikTok videos that have been circulating on social media. Crysto Panda’s media tour has been a success, and he has been received with open arms by fans and fellow media personalities alike.
The audio of “Empele” was released on December 7, 2022, and was produced by D’Mario and mastered by Artin Pro. Crysto Panda and Dokta Brian are the masterminds behind the lyrics, which are catchy and full of energy. The song’s name is inspired by a dance move that originated in the Masaka district, where Crysto Panda hails from.
Crysto Panda started his TV career in 2014 with WBS TV, where he hosted a quiz show. He later moved to NTV’s T-nation in 2015, where he continued to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry. In 2018, he decided to venture into music, and his first hit single “Asht” featuring The Ben and Beenie Gunter was a big success. He released another single, “Kampala Takoma”, in 2019, which was also well-received by fans.
Although Crysto Panda has released some great ballads, he has faced criticism for taking the Mun G route of trend-jacking, that is, relying on trending topics to come up with song titles without putting much thought into the lyrics. However, this has not stopped him from continuing to release popular songs such as “Ki Uganda Kinyuma”, “Kyoyina Omanya”, “Bino”, “Balumye”, “Tubinyumisa”, “Tuli Mu Struggle”, and “Monica”.
Aside from singing and TV hosting, Crysto Panda also hosts events that target high school students. His “Panda TurnUp” event is held during holidays and is a great way for students to have fun and let loose during their break.
Sheila Saltofte, better known as Sheila Salta, is a well-known media personality in Uganda who recently joined Crysto Panda for a dance to his hit single “Empele” on his visit to the newly-launched NRG Radio. Sheila Salta started her media career at a young age with Teens Club on WBS TV and has since worked with Urban TV, Magic 1HD, and NBS, before joining NRG Radio.
In conclusion, Crysto Panda’s new hit single “Empele” has taken the Ugandan entertainment industry by storm, and his media tour has been a huge success. Fans and fellow media personalities are enjoying the song and can’t seem to get enough of it. Crysto Panda is certainly having lots of fun promoting his new hit single, and it’s great to see him making a positive impact in the industry.
