When the news of Gen Elly Tumwine’s death broke on the internet, it elicited mixed reactions from netizens, including National Unity Platform principal Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert alias Bobi Wine, who had previously tested the deceased’s wrath.
In his social media post to mourn the death of Gen Elly Tumwine, Bobi Wine used a scripture from Genesis 3:19, which talks about death.
He wrote ”Genesis 3:19 -“… For dust you are, and to dust you shall return RIPEllyTumwine”.
Gen Elly Tumwine is remembered for saying to Bobi Wine supporters through the media during the 2021 elections, “the police have a right to shoot you and kill you,” in reference to Bobi Wine supporters who were boycotting the campaign due to his arrest.
