The territorial police in Serere have detained four female siblings in connection with the murder of their 65-year-old father, Okure John, a retired worker at Igola Research station in Serere and resident of Igora II village Okulonyo parish, Orio sub-county in Serere district.
According to the information gathered, on June 15, 2022, a woman named Martha Akwango returned home from school crying after being possessed by evil spirits. When she arrived at their house, her three other female siblings began praying over her to cast out the demons who had attacked her.
During the prayers, the three female siblings attacked and beat their father inside the home they shared, while casting out demons from their younger sister.
The attack was so brutal that blood splattered everywhere and both eyes poked out. The siblings, Achumo Deborah, Achom Ester, Ikwadi Susan, and Akwango Martha, were arrested for their father’s biological murder.
It is a spiritual influence on their allegedly devilish father that any normal person would find difficult to comprehend. They are being investigated for murder.
