Musicians Sheebah Karungi and the legendary Maddox Ssemanda Sematimba left an indelible impression at the 10th edition of the Nile Special-sponsored The East African Meat Carnival, which took place at the Uganda Museum.
The venue’s gates opened at precisely midday, and revellers flocked in to catch the good vibes as they enjoyed their weekend, all looking fly and smartly dressed for the festival.
During the East African Meat Carnival day, most partygoers listened to music mixed by various deejays while enjoying the various delicious types of meat served out in the evening and sipping on their favorite drinks.
Around 7:30 p.m., the artists’ performances began, with emerging artists gracing the stage to set the tone for the established musicians who were waiting in line to enthrall the jovial crowds who were still enjoying and feasting on their meat and beer.
Mun G kicked off the lineup of artists with an incredible performance that drew those who were a little further away from the stage closer.
He sang songs like Virgin and Kankunganye, among others, while cracking a few jokes about his songs.
Following his performance, Sheebah Karungi took the stage and wowed the audience with her commanding presence. This however had them jumping up and down to most of her songs.
She also did the unthinkable by exiting the stage and entering the crowd. She freely engaged and bonded with the massive crowd as she danced with a few on the night.
Maddox Sematimba closed the show with a spirited and vibrant performance, as fans wished he could perform all night.
