Alex Emix Muhangi, better known as Alex Muhangi, is a Ugandan comedian, actor, sound engineer, director, and host of the Comedy Store Uganda show. He was named by New Vision as one of the top ten Ugandan comedians and personalities in 2016 and 2017. As well as one of Uganda’s pioneers of standup comedy in English.
In 2014, Muhangi went on a world tour, performing in Rwanda, South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, South Sudan, Kenya (Churchill Show), Tanzania, Rwanda, Canada, Australia, Somalia, UK, German, Norway, Sweden, Nigeria, Ghana, Turkey, UAE, China, and on The Improv in the United States.

Muhangi auditioned for StandUp Uganda, a DStv campaign to find the “next top comic,” and finished as the second runner-up. He was driving down Kimathi Avenue when he noticed people lining up for auditions, which he mistook for acting auditions. Alex then decided to audition because he enjoyed acting and had no jokes prepared. He was asked to tell a joke, which he did. And he suddenly became a contender, and later a second-place finisher.
Alex Muhangi founded the comedy group “The Crackers” in 2010, which had a number one television show on Cable called “Mic Check.”
