Ugandan socialite Don Zella has boldly addressed the persistent online bullying she faces due to her skin complexion. Through a heartfelt video, she called out netizens who frequently criticize her appearance, accusing her of bleaching her skin.
Don Zella, a mother of three, clarified the origins of a dark patch on her face, located just below her left eye. “I was born with this birthmark,” she explained. “If there’s anybody I should have blamed, it’s God. I was born with it and am okay with it. It’s part of me, and it will be for the rest of my life.”
She further emphasized that this birthmark is a hereditary trait shared by her family, though it appears in different locations on their bodies. Expressing her frustration, Don Zella urged her critics to skin bleaching to stop making unfounded accusations that contribute to her discomfort.
“I’m tired of people complaining, ‘Don Zella, you bleached your face,’” she stated. “I wanna make this clear for the last time. Let people be, leave people alone. If somebody has not insulted you, leave them alone. Stop being bullies on social media.”
